Nitesh Jain has an expertise in the area of Manufacturing, EV, Education and High tech area impacting future of manufacturing and education. He is the Managing Director at Best Group based out of India and Europe.

In the field of Manufacturing, the area of focus is Mobility and Defence industries, deploying cutting edge technologies for production and processes of complicated proprietary products.

Nitesh is also a founder of India’s well known chain of Corporate Child care centers for kids called “The Banyan”. In order to change the future of Education, he launched the initiative called “BeSingular”, an innovative Edtech company to teach Exponential Technologies to students from 8 year upwards, with a focus to prepare the next generation to understand and adopt future tech and help solve global great challenges facing humanity. In the area of high tech for Manufacturing, he leads Best Group’s initiatives in the IOT & IIOT areas apart from process automation technologies to develop systems that create innovative solutions to help generate advanced manufacturing systems and intelligent machines. He is a founder of Ashoka University, India’s leading Liberal Arts and Sciences University; a Mentor at Smart Mobility Accelerator program at Tel Aviv University, Israel; Ambassador at SingularityU Delhi and a board member at Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs. Nitesh is an Alumni of Harvard Business School and Singularity University. His personal MTP and mission is to “Transform Education space to impact the learning possibilities for the next generation”.

Jain

ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT

Pulkit focuses on investing in early-stage startups across sectors at Altius. He comes along with a strong experience of working in Transaction Advisory with corporates and multiple start-ups advising them Fundraise strategies, M&A and business development. Pulkit has worked in Consumer, FMCG, Adtech, Healthtech, Fintech, Enterprise SaaS and Manufacturing spaces.

Pulkit is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has previously worked with EY and Nomura Research Institute in various roles. His vast experience of working with start-ups and deep understating of the business has led to co-founding of Vector NXG (A Venture Debt Fund) and is associated with Doceree & Fabriclore under various capacities. He enjoys meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.

When he is not at work, he can be found on the field playing football or tennis. He loves to travel and trek to the remotest parts of the world to interact and spend time with local heritage. With time in hand, he loves to expand his coin collection.

 

Animesh
Vijayvargiya

VICE PRESIDENT

Animesh focuses on investing in early stage startups across sectors at Altius. He comes with a strong past experience in early-stage investing. Animesh has been working with early stage VCs for more than 6 years. His previous stints were at The HR Fund and Contrarian Drishti Partners where he has led several rounds of investments and has been solely responsible for driving the complete investment process. Animesh has led deals in Healthtech, HRtech, Social Media, Fintech, Enterprise Saas spaces. Apart from this he has also been responsible for portfolio management, fundraising and investor relations activities.

He has previously worked with RBS India and Accenture as well in varied roles. Animesh is an alumnus of MDI Gurgaon and NIT Bhopal. Animesh is a trained classical singer and has been part of several college bands; he dabbles at times with some recordings on a YouTube channel.

He is Chairman of the Udyat group. His company provides smart, cutting edge, futuristic solutions to governments & utilities in India and other developing nations. They partner with startups/ enterprises with superior solutions for governments & help them reach their full potential by providing marketing, financial & strategic support. They also undertake turnkey EPC projects in power, water, solar & civil sectors across India & Africa. The realty arm of Udyat undertakes residential, industrial townships and commercial projects in Delhi–NCR and acquires stressed assets from NCLT & Courts for value addition & value creation. They also run three K-12 schools in Delhi-NCR with a strength of over 10000 students. As an investor, he looks for sincere & enthusiastic promoters with a good business plan, great solution and their ability to create a good team. He is a patient investor and is there for the long hall. He enjoys interacting with young new age techpreneurs. He enjoys meeting people, travelling and enjoying a glass of wine over poker with friends. He is part of the YPO, EO and was the Charter Chairman of Round Table 151.

"A technologist, venture capitalist, serial entrepreneur and an inspirational leader; Rahul has over 30 years of varied experience. He started his journey as Head of Technology Investments for one of the first early stage VC firms in the country. He also served as CEO of two mid sized US based tech companies and Managing Partner of a buy out fund. He believes that continuous innovation is the only way of surviving in this fast changing competitive world. His expertise lies in strategy formulation, long and mid range planning, culture and business process development, creating “winning teams”, facilitating and creating global sales organization and affecting successful business model disruptions.

Rahul has pursued his entrepreneurial journey with passion and is Founder/Co-Founder in five companies. He is also deeply entrenched in the startup world with over twenty investments in companies across India, US, Australia and Canada. He also serves on the Board of some listed companies and several technology startups. Rahul is also involved with mentoring and coaching several startups and is associated with entrepreneurs and partners in technology, services, manufacturing, hospitality, e-commerce and sustainability spaces across the globe. Navyug has over 25 years of experience in various leadership, advocacy, mentorship, fundraising, acquisitions, community, public service and advisory roles. Navyug, after three rounds of fundraising (for QAI), an acquisition in the UK, the merger and acquisition of QAI’s parent company (QAI USA) into QAI India, setting up it’s operations in China, Singapore, founding India’s first strategic design and Innovation company (QGLUE), is now co-founder and General Partner at Altius Venture Partners. All through, he has been passionate about start-ups: perennially “being” one, as also helping and funding some. Navyug hopes to bring to bear, through Altius, the many successes and equally many failures and learnings to help start-ups and to inspire them to take a more considered and structured approach to venture development.

Navyug believes in “designing your life” (of which he is a Stanford Certified Coach). He is a TEDx speaker ('Embracing Contradictions; Manifesting Desires'). He ran NASSCOM’s Orbit Shift Program, co-chaired TiECon and is on the Team of TiE Ventre Studio.
